Welcome to the 2011 QIS Capital Stock Challenge. This contest has been designed to share investment ideas, strategies, and some enjoyment. The contest will run until December 31, 2011. Participants are encouraged to enter a "real-life" portfolio which reflects your investment strategy. A comments section will be included with each trade submission for investors to share a few key points and reasons for the trade. All entries will be approved by QIS Capital management and any inappropriate usage will be grounds for dismissal. Investors are encouraged to treat participants with respect and any personal attacks or comments, regardless of Stock Challenge performance, are inappropriate.

To enter the 2011 contest for free, please send an email to info@qiscapital.com with your Name, Phone number, and contest nickname. In the subject line, please type "2011 Contest Entry".

2011 Contest Rules
1) Hypothetical portfolio starts at CDN$50,000.
2) A maximum of 10 stocks in the portfolio at any given time.
3) Stocks must be chosen from a Canadian Exchange.
4) A maximum of 5 trades per month (10 max in January). Trades must be submitted by midnight the previous day and will remain open for 15 business days. Only the actual trading volume at the specified price will be filled.
5) For market orders, trades will be filled at the opening price on the next trading day (based on actual trading volume).
6) A fixed commission of $10 will be added to each trade.
7) A minimum of 1 new stock must be purchased in every quarter (prior to December 1/11 in Q4) or the participant will be disqualified. At least 5 different stocks must be held in a player's portfolio during 2011.
7) Portfolio values and standings will be updated approximately once per week.
8) It is the responsibility of each shareholder in the contest to report all dividends paid or special situations - please email this info to info@qiscapital.com.
